I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tubman (Maplewood, MN) in Apr 2024
Interview
So far, I have had one interview. There was more than one person, and the questions were about my work history and experience. There were also some questions related to diversity and violence in American culture. I've been invited back for a second sit down.
There were two rounds of interviews. Each had a panel of 3 or 4 staff members from different areas of the agency. Most were from the legal department. The interviewers took turns asking questions. At the end they presented a few scenarios that might come up in the job. I had some time to craft a response and then share it.

Interview
Emailed a letter of interest and my resume. Got a call to set up a phone interview. The next week I went in for an in-person interview. There was a panel of three people. The interview before mine ran late and then they seemed rushed when they got to me. The panel did not seem interested in know me personally. It was not a warm or welcoming environment. They gave me a task at the end, whisked me off to a random room, and did not even say goodbye. I finally left the room and couldn't find anyone to thank for the interview.
When I was offered the job over the phone the next week, the HR person was very rude. I asked questions about benefits and said "we will go over them when we sign the paperwork." She gave me 30 minutes to decide and a start date for the next week. This start date was not the start date discussed in the interview process. I called back a bit later to decline the offer. I tried to be really kind, but she scoffed at me and had an awful attitude. I have never been so happy to not have a job work out...
