I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Turner Construction (New York, NY) in Jan 2011
Interview
The first step was scheduling and completing a phone interview, which was very helpful to understand the company feel and what to expect for the 1 on 1 interviews. The next step was coming to the main office located within the corporate headquarters in New York.
The second step was meeting with 3 different 1-on-1's for twenty to thirty minutes each. At this time we discussed background experience as well as what may be a "best-fit." The company has many roles from construction operations, to estimating & purchasing departments, to insurance and corporate human resources. It was very obvious that Turner had a lot of opportunity in gaining experience in different roles. The most attractive aspect of the interviewing experience was the growth opportunities.
