I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Turo (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Interviewed for a senior position. Went through 2 phone screens (one with recruiter, second with hiring manager) and then came onsite for 3 in person interviews. Everything was very unstructured and seemed to be very disorganized. (Including the actual office space). After the onsite interview I was told they wanted to bring me back for another round -- then radio silence. I emailed to follow-up a week later and was told they were still going through first rounds with other candidates and wanted to finish those before moving on. I never reached out again and never heard from them again. The whole process and level of communication seemed unprofessional.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Turo in June 2025
Interview
The process took 3 weeks to reach the first round despite wanting to move fast. The recruiter then failed to follow up about the changed RTO policy that happened in the interim, despite knowing my location constraints. Immediately following a 45 min interview they sent a confusing email telling me they would like to move me forward but I would have to withdraw unless I'd move to SF/Phoenix, despite the role being posted as remote. The recruiter would not allow me connect with the hiring manager to further discuss. This lack of clear communication made the process feel like a waste of time for everyone involved.

Question 1
The interview predominately focused on background questions. Despite mentioning my current location the hiring mgr did not ask about location preferences even though they had changed the requirements during my process.
