      Trust and Safety Associate Interview

      29 June 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Turo (San Francisco, CA) in May 2018

      Interview

The interview process was okay at the start, but I quickly realized that it wasn't going to be a fit for me. 2 rounds of phone interviews, which had all of the standard questions, then a written assessment to see what your skills are like, how you interact with users/customers, etc. The thing that made me realize I wasn't interested was the on-site interview. The panel I interviewed with was a mixed bag; some people were very friendly and engaging and some people were completely checked out. One of the higher ups for the department was downright aggressive and, to tell the truth, he made me extremely uncomfortable. I suppose it may have been a personality test to see how I would handle weird/aggro personalities, but it was incredibly off-putting and left a weird taste in my mouth. A few days later, I got a call to tell me they decided to pass. In the end, I think it was understood that it wasn't a fit on both ends, and I'm not bummed I didn't get an offer.

      Trust and Safety Associate Interview

      22 June 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Phoenix, AZ
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Turo (Phoenix, AZ) in June 2021

      Interview

I was referred by a former coworker and got an email from a recruiter shortly after (less than an hour) they submitted my info. Set up first, over the phone, interview for the next day. Had a pleasant conversation with my potential new manager about expectations and to get a feel both ways for each other and the company. Was sent a case study to fill out to gauge my thought process on certain topics and processes. After submitted I got an email the next day setting up a multi-person interview process that would span a few hours. Had 30 minute interviews with four different people across the department, asking different questions and getting their own idea of me. After that was successful I heard back within two business days with an acceptance letter, going from hearing about the position to hired within a week and a half.
