Had multiple calls with US team, then CEO, CTO and other executives. After waiting some time I got an email asking if I could meet the US Manager and her colleague from Finland who was in town the following day and to pick a spot for a meet. After multiple emails trying to find where they were staying and looking for a suitable place I was finally told to meet in an area where they had a meeting. I drove the 60 miles only to get a call to see if I could drive another 30 miles to their hotel in rush hour traffic. I did and within 5 minutes of the interview I felt like I was on trial due to a large account I landed back in 2014. Apparently they do business with this account and they asked someone who never heard of me. I gave them great detail into the inner workings of this account but they insisted I call my former boss whom I haven't spoken to in 6 years and is a VP of Global Sales of a public company and have him write a detailed email about one of the company's largest clients and how it came about. Apparently, people in Finland don't understand US Law regarding disclosure. I left the interview with a bad feeling like my integrity was being questioned. I sent an email the next day I was withdrawing my candidacy as I had multiple other opportunities and wasn't going to bother my references with such nonsense. I felt the US contact was being pushed into this by the executives in Finland so I'd say the reviews of this company's upper management is spot on.
