Enterprise Architect - Senior Level Interview

      6 Nov 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Washington, DC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Twilio (Washington, DC) in Nov 2020

      Interview

Had a recruiter reach out and ask if I was interested in an Enterprise Architect role, based upon my previous work experience. Indicated that I was considering other roles. Recruiter then, without my approval, sent me a link to Hacker Rank that required I spend 180 minutes straight completing 3 coding challenges. I'm not much of a coder these days, so after a quick review of what the challenge was, I told the recruiter I wasn't interested. Not a very professional experience. Why would someone spend 3 hours in a coding challenge if they didn't even get a chance to discuss the position with someone?
