I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Twilio (Prague) in May 2022
Interview
HR contacted on LinkedIn and wanted to have a call for this job opportunity. We had a call and during that call, I shared my current salary & min. salary expectation and she told me it's within the budget range and even they can pay more based on my seniority.
Then, we started the process and I had 4 interviews in 2 weeks one by one.
-1 CV screening with use-case questions
-2 technical questions with technical use-case questions
-1 bar raiser session
They were all pretty easy interviews/questions based on my knowledge & experience because I have been working in their industry for +10 years and already knew what they are looking for.
After these interviews, a hiring manager sent me an email with the positive result and she wanted to have a call for making their offer. While we were having the call, she told me all of my interviews were pretty good and they are impressed with that and they wanted to offer their maximum available budget. However, once she told me the numbers, it was a shock for me because the amount was almost half of the amount which we agreed at the beginning of the interviews and I would not start interviews if I knew the real budget is almost half of what I am earning now.
Then, she requested 2 days to fix this mistake and we had another call after 2 days, but the result is the same, she told me this is the maximum what they can offer and they are sorry for the mistake. Eventually, I spent 2 weeks and more than 5 hours on the interviews and rejected their offer.
