Interview
The interview process wasn't that stressful. I had 2 interviews and felt like they wanted to hire me. They even went as far as to check my references. Then I get told they don't want me. I am really tired of these companies who give false hope to their interviewees only to not hire them. They really don't deserve my time or attention any longer. The excuse I was given? I didn't have the experience required for the job. Excuse me, but the job description said nothing about needing to know SQL. I was asked about this in both interviews. Advice to management: if you want someone to have a skill for a job, try putting it in the actual job description and don't waste anyone's time with an interview if they don't have that skill.

Application
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Tyler Technologies (Philadelphia, PA) in Jan 2023
Interview
The interview process is a long process but they try to be as accommodating and efficient as possible. After placing the application I had three calls with people in leadership. They did their absolute best to try an have a conversation with me rather than a rapid fire phone call. I then went on to have a take home project and then several panel interviews with employees and leadership through out the company. Everyone was so kind, compassionate and interested in determining if we were a good fit. While the process is long and you feel like you might be investing too much into a job you dont have, it is well designed to provide you and them with all the information you would need to know about working there. I used the opportunity to pick their brains about the position, work culture and growth opportunity. I felt that the answers they gave me were honest answers that provided insight to the challenges and rewards of working there. A majority of the time the more interviews i have the less i am interested in the position but with Tyler my excitement grew and I stayed motivated to move on round after round. I did not receive and offer but I also did not get a no either due to some restructuring within the company. I have to give Tyler an A+ for transparency because I am sure it was a difficult conversation to have with me, I truly appreciated the way they handled this. They continued to keep me in the loop which was awesome. Hopefully the position opens back up and I can come back and give an employee review some time soon.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They ask a lot of behavior questions and some technical questions. Tell me about a time, what would you say? Are you familiar with spark? T-SQL, Python, CLI Have you ever been insubordinate?

Interview
I applied online and about two weeks later I received an interview request from HR through Jobvite, which is the third-party communication site they use for their applicants. The phone interview with HR was on a Tuesday, and I suppose it went well since she told me I would be receiving instructions about next steps in the interview process by Friday. I never received any communication about next steps with the hiring managers but I figured I would give it more time before I sent a follow-up email. About two weeks later and still no communication from them so I sent an email to HR via Jobvite, about next steps. Tomorrow it will be three weeks since I've sent that message, and still no response. At first blush, Tyler seemed like a good place to work, but the communication process has been a let down.
