Had a brief call with the recruiter who assured me that it was a 3 month contract to hire role. This was the first question I asked the Creative Director. He told me that it was a "potential" contract to hire role - that he was waiting for a signature in Zurich. I showed him my award winning work - which he said was "mediocre" and asked me for some brochure work. I explained that I primarily worked in digital. He also put down the company I work for, the town where the company is located, and the logo of the company (as if I had anything to do with the Fortune 14 Company's design). The interview ended for me the minute he said that it wasn't definitely a contract to hire role. I'd never have wasted my time, energy, money or gas to go. This Creative Director when to an elite private college and studied music. He has no formal training in design - and quite frankly didn't know what he was looking at.
