I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at UBS (Stamford, CT) in Apr 2014
Interview
interview went well. I was called to the Stamford office and 4 of senior people in that Asset Management group met me for 15-20 minutes each. General "how is the weather" kind of questions and a few questions to test whether I was a sane and normal person. Then the CIO came and had a similar chat and at the end of the chat indicated right away that I was hired.
the job requirements were very specific and the previous person left abruptly. i fitted the all exact experience they were looking for.
i was also asking around 30% of the typical pay compared to the industry for that specific job, as i needed the job back then. it was an easy interview and a quick offer.
