Interviewed for a Sales & Trading Summer Internship via phone. Got the interview through connections and recommendations, claimed no experience or knowledge outside of coursework - putting me slightly ahead of the history majors and physics majors that they recruit. Took place with the head of recruiting, who formerly only interviewed MBAs in the final rounds. It showed. He asked for justification why I wasn't going for a sell-side internship, in-depth macro (personal opinions), stock picks, options & trading strategies, and valuation formulas. Everything went pretty well, with sputters because I was advised that it would be a strictly behavioral interview, except for the stock picks - I'm a poor college student with no money in the market and 18 credits on my schedule, be real.
