I was put forward for this role by local recruiter, who set up an interview for an L&D role UBU wanted to hire for. UBU had seen my CV and sad they were keen to speak with me.
The interview was with the Chief Executive and a recruitment lady.
It felt more like an interrogation, I was questioned as to why they should hire me and ridiculed my answers. I asked if she could tell me about the role I am interviewing for, she said no, that this was for me to convince them and not for them to convince me, and that she didn't need to tell me anything. I was not told what the role was or what it involved so I couldn't give any tailored answers.
Seemed like she got up on the wrong side of the bed.
In the end we were going around in circles, and I said that this doesnt seem like an environment I would work in, and we decided to end the call.
It was incredibly awkward and I was left speechless. I've never before and never since experienced any interview like it. If this is how they treat their employees I suggest you steer clear or do all the research you can before accepting a role here.
