Email professor who I was interested in work with. Got a call from the professor within a week. Discussed research interests. Asked some questions about my previous research experience. Explained some technical terms. Asked some questions about my long term goal. We both think Then other paper work came. Very straight forward.

What research you have done? What's your long term plan?
I sent my resume to the professor and because of my background I was recommended to apply for admission. The professor also interviewed me and it came out very impressive to be a match for the lab. I applied and got the admission.
