      Clinical Research Coordinator Interview

      23 Feb 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at UC San Diego in Jan 2017

      Interview

The process involved a phone interview followed by an in-person interview. I applied in December 2016 for two departments and both got back to me within 3 weeks. I was interviewed by both departments. For the in-person interviews, one was with the PI and CRC and the other interview was with a panel of 6 CRC's. The phone interviews were very relaxed and they just wanted to learn about me and my goals. One department required me to prepare two practice IRB letters before the interview.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at UC San Diego in Feb 2023

      Interview

I was invited to interview for a CRC position at UCSD, but unfortunately, the interview was cancelled by the employer the day before the scheduled date. While I understand that they may have found better candidates, I do not believe that cancelling an interview at such short notice is a professional way to handle the situation. They should have evaluated all applicants thoroughly before reaching out and inviting me to a interview.
