I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at UCLA (Los Angeles, CA) in Nov 2023
Interview
Screening, panel, final interview across 6/7 weeks. Work-life balance touted, yet recruiter was emailing in the 10:00 pm hour sometimes. Year-long contract with the recruiter making a highlight of the 6-month transfer option (bailing almost expected?). Had one misfire screening w/ the recruiter and she was hostile as she dressed me down for the Zoom platform surging as the bandwidth hog it is. The follow-up was a completely different tone, but damage was already done. Looking to join a work team and earn income here, not seeking a bff so moving on to the panel: Almost all young school of education women professionals on technical projects. Hiring manager brushed-off technical and data science questions/ comments on the position so I wasn't sure if they were hiring for more of the same (more educational pros) or to augment what the team needed (tech communicator for tech project deployments). Absent: All guys with the business and technical backgrounds. From that I surmised that the division of labor was gender-based with they guys doing the tech and business while the ladies carry soft skills responsibilities.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at UCLA (Los Angeles, CA) in June 2018
Interview
Very extensive, with 1 panel presentation. Went through 5 rounds of interviews all the way up to the director and chief of staff. Was told that I would receive a call back, and never heard from the recruiter again.
