Applied through university. Contacted by staff in charge of intern recruitment. Scheduled date and time for interview. Interview was with head of division I would be under. Interview took 1 hour 30 minutes. Questioned on past experience, work ethic, interest in designated position and reasons for undertaking the internship.

What do you think about state responses to refugees?
I had a 30-minute interview that was very cordial and informational. I was asked about my interest in the role, relevant experience, and transferable skills. I was able to ask all my questions about the role and better understand the expectations of the job.

Interview
Application sent to UNHCR via email. The interview invitation was received via email. The interview was held via phone call with Protection Legal Officer which went for about thirty minutes or so.
First a written test of about 2-3 hours, followed by an interview with a panel.
I was interviewed by 4 people in total (2 were HR). The interview lasted about 30-40 and each of them asked about 2 questions.
The questions were competency based questions.
