Interview
Spoke briefly with an HR person, then had in-person interviews with two separate teams. Fairly standard interview questions, and questions about very basic familiarity with GDP and statistics. It was difficult to understand the differences between the two branches, so I relied more on judgments of personality. I was offered both positions and asked to choose, and I went with the supervisor who seemed nicer.

Interview
A virtual call with 2 senior level officials. The initial interview was simply to identify fitness for further interviews with more direct management. The interview was more of a search for a personality fit, the second interview was intended to be more technical. I accepted another position before hearing back about further interviews.

You may have to wait a while before hearing back but that is usual for many government positions. Both HR and Interviewer were very nice and expedient once they made contact.
