You will most likely begin the process by talking to a Officer Selection Assistant (OSA). This is typically a Staff Sergeant. He was talk to you about your goals and see if being a Marine Corps Officer is the right path for you. If there are no red flags, you will meet with the Officer Selection Officer (OSO). He is a Captain and will talk to you about how the application process works. You will work together to compile a package to send to the selection board. This will include many aspects about you such as your physical fitness abilities, GPA, SAT score, extracurricular activities, leadership roles, and recommendations. The whole process took me about 12 months to be accepted. This gave me time to raise my physical fitness test (PFT) score.
