I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at US Patent and Trademark Office (Alexandria, VA) in Apr 2012
Interview
The phone interview was very casual. They asked some very basic behavioral questions such as "How would you complete four tasks of equal importance that are due at the same time?" I felt like the interview was more of a filter to weed out the poor communicators. The SPE's that interview are not the hiring authority, and the most they can do is send a few comments with a recommendation if you're lucky to the HR department. Overall, just be relaxed and speak clearly and concisely, and you'll be fine
