I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at US Patent and Trademark Office in Apr 2013
Interview
Applied around Feb 2013 and phone interviewed around mar 2013.
They asked same behavioral questions listed on here.
I prepared what to say but didn't quite answer them nicely and one of two hiring managers didn't like my answer from the beginning which I could tell. I could hear his comments from the background. Anyway, it was my fault that I didn't put explanations nicely.
I knew that I won't selected then.
They also mentioned that they were not looking for the special area(I think they used a word 'art') I applied for.
One month later I received an email saying that they won't move forward with the hiring process due to the financial constraints.
In May, I received a reject email saying that I wasn't selected.

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at US Patent and Trademark Office (Oxnard, CA) in June 2026
Interview
I've only done the digital one, where I recorded myself, and it was fairly easy. You got chances to redo your recording, which was nice, and you had a minute before you read the question to prepare your answer. I found it to be intuitive.
