I applied for the Senior Product Designer role and went through a four-round interview process over two months. During the interviews, I received feedback that I was the right fit for both the company and client. However, the recruiting timeline was significantly prolonged without clear communication about the reasons for the delay.
Throughout the process, I requested feedback multiple times. Follow-up communications were often scheduled as video calls when email or direct messaging would have been more efficient, which added to the frustration of an already extended timeline.
After two months and four interviews with positive signals, I received a rejection email stating they decided to proceed with "candidates whose profile is a closer fit." No explanation was provided about what changed or what specific concerns existed, despite prior feedback that I was the right fit.
The hiring experience lacked transparency about the decision-making process, making it difficult to understand the actual reasons for the outcome.

Question 1
The interview questions were repetitive across rounds. I was asked similar questions multiple times by different interviewers from both Ubiminds and the client side. The main topics included strategic design questions and AI expertise questions. Specifically, I was asked to share use cases of my AI experience and explain my approach to AI in design. However, these same questions were recycled across different interview rounds rather than building on previous conversations or diving deeper into new areas.

Entrevista com a recrutadora seguida de uma entrevista em inglês com uma IA. A recrutadora fez as perguntas de praxe, pedindo detalhes sobre tecnologias utilizadas, tempo e trabalho, etc. A IA fez perguntas em inglês que eram muito abertas.

Interview
A entrevista foi superficial, com perguntas que não permitiram demonstrar ou avaliar meu real conhecimento. Mesmo com respostas corretas, a entrevistadora deu a entender que a vaga poderia não estar mais disponível, indicando que só entraria em contato se houvesse novidades. A rejeição veio sem feedback, apenas mencionando a escolha por outros. Foi uma perda de tempo mútua. Fica o aviso aos futuros candidatos: preparem-se para um processo que pode ser pouco criterioso, onde o resultado final parece não depender diretamente de sua qualificação ou experiência. Mesmo com mais de 15 anos comprovados na área, isso pode ser desconsiderado na decisão, que aparentou ser aleatória. Não percam seu tempo.
