I applied for the Senior Product Designer role and went through a four-round interview process over two months. During the interviews, I received feedback that I was the right fit for both the company and client. However, the recruiting timeline was significantly prolonged without clear communication about the reasons for the delay. Throughout the process, I requested feedback multiple times. Follow-up communications were often scheduled as video calls when email or direct messaging would have been more efficient, which added to the frustration of an already extended timeline. After two months and four interviews with positive signals, I received a rejection email stating they decided to proceed with "candidates whose profile is a closer fit." No explanation was provided about what changed or what specific concerns existed, despite prior feedback that I was the right fit. The hiring experience lacked transparency about the decision-making process, making it difficult to understand the actual reasons for the outcome.
