      Senior Frontend Engineer Interview

      12 Feb 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Ubiquity6 (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2018

      Interview

They reached out via A-List. Initial call with Head of Eng went well. Straight to onsite interview, no other technical screen. Onsite was mostly difficult. Whiteboarding questions varied from Leetcode "hard" level algorithms to relatively simple JS implementations. Laptop coding challenge was entirely too much work to finish in the time provided. Met with several engineers and the head of engineering, all friendly and very smart. They dragged their feet on making a decision, but kept me in the loop. I ended up accepting an offer elsewhere in the meantime. No hard feelings though — they're working on some cool stuff but it's way beyond me.

Hello! Thank you so much for your feedback. I am so sorry this process took five weeks. That's a long time, especially if you may have other offers or things you are looking into. This interview sounds like it was awhile back in 2018 when we were only about 20ish people. We're about three times the size now and our average interview time is < 25 days (for many roles, a lot less)... hopefully we can give you a better experience if you ever do interview here again. Please feel free to reach back out if you are looking for opportunities again, I'd be happy to connect. Feel free to reach me at natalie@ubiquity6.com if you have any other questions. Please be well!
