      Recruiting Coordinator Interview

      25 Feb 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Overland Park, KS
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Uhlig (Overland Park, KS) in Feb 2025

      Interview

I had a standard initial screening interview. Then, I was made to take 3 eSkills assessments covering grammar, English, and Microsoft Excel. A recruiter then followed up to have me take a personality assessment. Finally, I spoke for only about 10 minutes with the entire C-suite executive panel, and was not allowed to ask questions. I was offered the position that same day and was told to have a decision within 24 hours, without ever being given the chance to see the office space or speak with my direct supervisor. I took initiative to schedule that appointment and toured the offices. Only roughly 20% of their office space is occupied, and is extremely gray and lifeless. My conversation with my proposed direct supervisor (who was also an executive vice-president) gave me the impression that she did not have time or concern for mentorship. It was also impressed upon me that upper management seeks to control all aspects of employee life, even to the point of needing approval for cubical decorations. I declined my offer.
