First step was talking to a recruiter over the phone. The recruiter skimmed through my resume and asked me to talk about my experience. I could tell he didn’t read through my resume clearly because he asked me why I changed roles so many times in the company but I had been in the same role for 5 years, I took on additional responsibility on top of my current role. The recruiter I talked to was definitely dry. I felt like I had to ask questions to keep the conversation going otherwise there would be awkward silence. He didn’t really talk about the company and only asked me questions from a script. It didn’t make me feel like I wanted to work there. A lot of the conversation that he was focused on was compensation. It is so early in the process and I need to get a full picture of what the role entails and the company benefits before I can come up with a figure but he was really grinding at me to come up with a range even though I stated I was flexible. I knew how it was going to go after I got off the phone and I received an automated rejection email the day after.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your interview experience at Ulteig. I am sorry you had a generally negative experience. I appreciate the feedback regarding compensation – we typically try to discuss compensation early in the process for a better candidate experience by not wasting any candidates time if we are not aligned on compensation. We will definitely consider this feedback going forward.
