I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Ultimate Survival Technologies (Jacksonville, FL) in June 2015
Interview
Apply online, wait for call. Go in for 1st interview. Learn that management has no idea what Information Technology is, say a few big techno words then I was called back for 2nd interview. 2nd interview is with another non-technical type but seems to think they understand what is required of the position I was interviewing for.
Got the job and immediately was ready to walk when all these huge, engineering, personal-time-consuming projects were thrown my way. At no time was an on-call discussed however management conveniently hand me a cell phone and since I was the only one who understands technology in that company, I'm now on-call 24/7.
The job title is bogus, theres 25% help desk duties, the rest are systems/network/wireless engineering, mixed with EDI/ERP troubleshooting.
Basically if you plug it into a wall, they hold you responsible for it.
