- quick call with HR, asking my background and willingness to move abroad
- technical interview with one of the co-founder and a software engineer, followed by behavioural and situational questions
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I found the interview quite unprofessional.
They asked me to explain a project I was proud of, going into details about that project, which was fine, but I found their behaviour quite rude and childish when making questions and correcting me.
They also made me one of that very strange question that big companies usually use to test your reaction, but it just seemed to me the bad copy of such questions. It was something like "if you found yourself inheriting several huge projects and had to work alone in all of them after being hired, how would you face this?"
To me, it just made no sense.
They were also unclear about the workplace and the colleagues.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Unbabel (Lisbon, Lisbon District) in May 2025
Interview
O processo incluiu uma entrevista para conhecer o candidato, uma entrevista técnica e uma entrevista com a equipa de managers. A parte técnica era relativamente simples, mas o enunciado apresentava alguma ambiguidade.

Interview
Pretty simple. First stage HR meeting with a recruiter. Then a take home assignment followed by a technical interview with one or two engineers. After this, if passed, it's the offer stage.
