      Executive Assistant Interview

      29 Mar 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Baltimore, MD
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Under Armour (Baltimore, MD) in Mar 2013

      Interview

The UA Recruiter was great! She was pleasant and efficient as far as providing information and organizing the interview(s). I arrived approximately 15 minutes before my interview start time and was greeted by an interim receptionist. Due to the timing, she was filling-in for the regular receptionist while she was away at lunch. The replacement was pleasant, but had no idea how to notify the individuals I was there to see. She said UA had acquired a new system and she was unaware as to how to properly manage it. After being greeted by the recruiter I was escorted up to an empty board room where I was to wait to meet with my first interviewer, who’s title I will not disclose. Well, she never showed-up, nor could anyone get her on the phone. I sat, alone, in the room for 30 minutes before being informed the person was unavailable. On to the next… I then meet with a VP, who was pleasant and forthcoming about the details of the position. So far so good, or so I thought. I then move on to the Head Officer, whom I immediately got the feeling was not too interested in meeting me. It was the uncomfortable feeling that I was not going to get the position even before I spoke a word. Nonetheless I was polite, tactful, and thorough in answering all of the questions. I then get an email several days later saying that I would no longer be considered. Well, I pretty much figured that. Such a shame too because I feel I would have been a great asset to the company. Guess I’m just not a “good fit” for the company.

      Executive Assistant Interview

      27 May 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Baltimore, MD
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Under Armour (Baltimore, MD) in Apr 2015

      Interview

It was a grueling processes, with several levels of interviews. First was getting through the piles of resumes, next was an hour long phone call with the HR recruiter in charge of the department you were looking to get into (Marketing, in this case), then an hour long phone call with current Executive Assistant. If you make that cut, you are asked back to an 8 hour interview on UA's campus. You meet with a new person every 30 minutes, and are usually asked roughly the same questions. A few of the interviewers met with me together, panel style. Once I finished that, I was asked back the very next day (unusual, they were trying to hire very quickly in this case) to meet the executive they wished for me to support. I then spent an hour with him one-on-one. After that, I received a phone call a few days later that I had gotten the job from the HR recruiter I had originally spoken to. The largest part of the interview process was seeing if I was a "culture fit." Being athletic, tall, well-spoken, and young, I was what I later learned "a perfect culture fit." Unfortunately they do a lot of candidate editing based on whether or not you'll fit well, not just personality wise, but aesthetically.
