I had an initial 25 minute video chat with their internal recruiter. She talked about the company, the working environment and a little bit about the role itself. I spoke about my experience. It was very typical of an initial call with an internal hiring manager.
I was told I'd hear back about the next stage of the process, but I heard nothing for a couple of weeks, so I sent an email directly to the recruiter, which she then proceeded to ignore as well. I get you don't have time to respond to every single application, but when someone has given 30 minutes of their time for a video conversation (and another hour on top for prep, etc), then it's just basic respect to send then a response to let them know that you won't be progressing with their application. It would take 2 minutes to write an email!
Clearly this could just be one rude individual, but perhaps it is representative of the company itself. Who knows!
