      Web Designer Interview

      11 Sept 2010
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Guildford, England
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Unily (Guildford, England) in Mar 2009

      Interview

The first interview was a formal interview with the MD and Chairman. The interview lasted about two hours, giving all parties the opportunity to get familiar with not only the type of work expected, but the personality of the company and prospective employee. I asked for a tour of the office and this was granted. I met with some of my prospective colleagues and had the opportunity to ask questions. The office seemed positive and dynamic with plenty of projects happening in parallel so there would be a good mix of work. The second interview was with my prospective line manager and was a coffee shop informal chat. This was more of a chance to discuss my specific skills and work style. Brightstarr is still a fairly young company and was expanding to manage increasing workload. From their chosen niche in the industry, (MS Sharepoint implementation and design,) they seem set to continue to grow and maintain careers for their employees for the medium to long term.
