I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Union (Texas) (Austin, TX) in June 2024
Interview
Multiple interviews were conducted. I found them to be straightforward and informative about the company. The interviews were very insightful on the companies goals and outlook. Fairly easy and straightforward interviews and their hiring staff is very friendly.

Question 1
Restaurant and technical experience relating to the role.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Union (Texas) (New York, NY) in Oct 2022
Interview
I got the feeling they are using interviews to gather information and pitch their company to venues for free. I thought the first few interviews were a little odd... they spent most of the time educating me on their product and less time asking me questions related to how I would be a good fit for this role. I was immediately pushed through to the next round post each interview. The third round I was asked to have lunch. This consisted of learning about Union for an hour and a half. After that they told me to put together a sales presentation which had little to do with the role I was going for. (I was clear I was not interested in sales and they reassured me I would only be managing existing accounts.) I was asked to go into venues fit for Union, speak to a general manager and bartender, gather information as to what troubles they are having and then pitch mobile ordering - Union. Anyone in the industry knows it's absurd to ask a GM's time for this. I obviously did not go through with the process. I then found out they have put other people through this “presentation” and have not offered an AM role to anyone in the New York region.

Question 1
They asked for a general overview of my background.
I reached out directly to the hiring manager that posted the job on LinkedIn. I then received an email from a different hiring manager saying they would love to set up time to speak with me. I set up time on his Calendly schedule, but he never sent me the official invite link to join the call. In the invite it stated it would be sent before our meeting, so I gave it more time, but still nothing hours before the meeting time. I reached out just to get an email saying sorry for the late reply, I’m out sick, can we please reschedule. I get that people get sick, so not a big deal. I rescheduled and received the confirmation email for the next week just to have the same thing happen again, but this time no email saying why I they couldn’t meet with me at that time. Which made me believe maybe they weren’t sick in the first place and really bad at organization, scheduling, and caring about peoples time.
