The worst interview process I have ever had. It started with a 30-minute phone interview, which was great, and I received positive feedback. They then requested an in-person interview and encouraged me to be honest about my experiences and reflect on areas I have failed and how I could improve. Then they requested I drive 8 hours for an hour-long in-person interview. The interview was hectic and not well organized. They changed the time at the last minute and did not have a conference room booked. They changed interviewers halfway through and asked me the same questions again. They also asked vague questions and did not seem to have consistency between interviewers, almost like they were making it up as they went along. Plus no one from the team I would have been working with were at the interview, it was all other departments, which was confusing. I received an email the next day saying they would not move forward with my application. I requested feedback for improvement and never heard back from them. I was never offered compensation for the travel either and no one talked to me again. In the interview, I had been honest about how I am not a confrontational person and how that has been an area in which I would like to improve as they encouraged me to do before the interview. I think the fact that I focus more on building relationships with customers rather than driving sales immediately did not align with their goals, which is funny to me. Definitely not worth the time and effort that I put into this interview. It is an unorganized company that only cares about their product, not ensuring their process is well developed.
