      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Unity (Brighton, England) in Feb 2023

      Interview

The first round of the process was a phone screening interview with an internal Unity recruiter in Canada, to be followed by at least 2 more interviews and an evaluated task.

Describe your relationship and history with gaming

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Unity

      Interview

By far the most positive interview process I've ever experienced! I had a referral for the role, and received a phone call from a Unity recruiter within a week. We had a high level chat to assess role fit (from a company perspective and my perspective), and walk through next steps. Unity's website also has a page dedicated to what you can expect from the process at each stage, and even has guidance on how to answer interview questions. I had my first interview with the Hiring Manager a couple days after that, and they put me through to the panel stage. The next week, I had 2 hour long calls (on separate days), each with 2 people: 1 person with the Partner Relations Manager role, and 1 person with a different role, but who works closely with the PRM team. During all of these calls, I really got the opportunity to represent myself and learn about the role, the team, and the greater company at a deeper level. I had every question answered, and through the process, uncovered other questions and insights I wouldn't have even thought of otherwise. I received a call from the original Recruiter after that weekend with an offer. I should also note: I am a Canadian moving down to the US, and Unity's Mobility and Immigration team has been of great support.

      Senior Partner Relations Manager Interview

      23 Oct 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Unity in Oct 2022

      Interview

I have applied to multiple Unity positions in different areas over several years, and this latest round was similar enough that I wouldn't want to apply again. - Initial phone call is with a recruiter, which can be hit or miss as recruiters don't seem to respond via email even when they ask you to reach out that way. - Process is well-defined. The recruiter describes the job and the interview process, which contains multiple interview rounds. - First round is a video interview for high-level questions from a manager, following rounds are more technical and involve employees who would be peers or coworkers in the position. - Interviews are generally conversational in tone. Interviewers are generally nice people and not high-pressure. - Rejection process is a generic email with no details, no feedback, and therefore no way to improve. Highly frustrating.
