I applied online. I interviewed at Universal Studios (Studio City, CA) in Feb 2017
Interview
My job interview was like 4 years ago but it was pretty quick and easy and got hired there at the spot. I practically had 2 interviews. You first have to take a little “placement test” nothing too difficult. It was pretty easy questions of math and different customer scenarios. After your done they will look through your test and ask you question like “Why are you interested in working for universal?” etc. Then they let you know what opening jobs they have available for example parking, merchandise, ride operator, food etc. and you choose what you would like most. After that I waited for a bit and was then interviewed by two other people. They gave me different scenarios and asked what I would do and say to guests/customers. Then I waited again for a bit and was given a job!
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Universal Studios (Hollywood, CA) in Mar 2026
Interview
Quick ten minute phone call then 15 minute in person the next day. Asked about how I would handle certain guest interactions and to tell them about myself. They really just want to know that you are personable and like to interact with guests.
