Got an interview invitation within 2 weeks with about 7 days to prepare.
I travelled from London to Cambridge for the interview
Panel interview (3 interviewers)
Few questions asked, asked about my previous project, my plans for the future (eg. Phd etc) and other hobbies...
The interview lasted about 20 minutes and I was shown around the lab and got to speak with the other lab members.
Got an offer a few hours later... which I accepted

Single interview for summer research position
Good questions - focussed on knowledge of field and technical knowledge

overall highly rate and would interview again
drawback was that interview was quite short, would like more time
Given enough notice before the interview, told who was interviewing and overall a very straightforward. I would recommend. Feedback was also given at the end. The questions asked were relevant to the position.

How would I apply my specific skills to the research they are conducting?
It was an online 25 min interview with 3 members of the committee. Each of them were supervisor in the project each from a different field. At the end they said that the result will be delivered online in a week.
