The job was posted on the university website. I began by making initial telephone contact with the department; next I sent my resume, curriculum vitae, and proposal of an academic school year syllabus.

Interview
Standard 3-step academic interview. The first step is to talk with the search committee chair over a recruiting conference. The second round is an Adobe interview with the search committee regarding my research and mutual interests. The third round is a day and half campus visit, when you give a presentation, usually based on the dissertation, meet individual faculty for some friendly chat, have lunch with graduate students, have dinner with 1 or 2 faculty members.
