Interview
I was invited to the University for the interview. There were two academia staff at my interview. They were very kind. The interview process seemed pretty informal, which was very good. There were 3 others interviewed on the same day.

Interview
Research questions mostly with some basic coding. Only one interview with two academics. The interview was average, easy questions if you are familiar with the topic. The offered the job couple of weeks after the interview
I was invited to attend an interview for this role on Friday evening. My interview took place on Wednesday the following week, and the recruiter only let me know the time the day before. Not a good first impression. The interview itself was a disappointing experience. It felt like they were asking me questions as part of a tick boxing exercise. They did not even bother to explain to me the context of the role until I asked before they left the call. I had other interview experiences where the interviewers were nice enough to take a bit more time to explain the role to the candidate. It honestly felt like they wanted the interview to be over and done quickly. Overall, my suspicion is that the panel had already identified a suitable candidate, and they just interviewed other people to put up an impression of a "fair process".
