Interview happened via skype with the professor. The professor explained about his group and his research areas first and then asked me a few question (research related). I could answer all the questions very well since it was in my area of expertise.
I applied online. I interviewed at University of Waterloo (Waterloo, ON) in Jan 2020
Interview
I would say the interview is very simple and fast and the professors there are really really nice to communicate. So, be yourself and do your best would be fine
I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at University of Waterloo (Waterloo, ON) in Jan 2016
Interview
No general interview process for postdocs. This will depend on your speciality. Your supervisor would have already reviewed your resume and will ask you questions based on your past research. You might be required to do a presentation or do a guest lecture at the university to see if you can teach. Sometimes you will talk to the dean or the department director.
