I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Unlearn.AI in Nov 2025
Interview
Zero empathy or respect for candidates' time. Discarding a candidate who successfully passed 5 rounds and spent weeks preparing—just because they got sick and needed to reschedule the final two hours—is entirely unprofessional.
The process took a month and was slated for 6 rounds. I passed the initial screens, spent hours on a take-home assessment, and completed the first two final-round interviews. Unfortunately, I fell ill before the last two rounds (ML and Coding) and proactively asked to reschedule. Instead of showing any flexibility, they waited a few days and rejected me with half of the final stage remaining.
Candidates evaluate your culture during interviews just as much as you evaluate them. Dropping someone for needing a sick day after they gave you a month of time and free labor shows a complete lack of basic empathy.

Take-home assessment related to general ML and Statistics knowledge
Thirty mins of recruiter screen with questions about my background and experience. Made a decision quickly and called the next day - they were looking for someone with different kind of expertise. I appreciated the quick turn around time on the decision process.
