I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Uphold (Portugal) in Oct 2025
Interview
The interview process was very quick, straightforward, and respectful. It started with a first interview with a company recruiter, where I was asked two basic engineering questions. At the end of that interview, I was invited to complete a take-home assignment within 72 hours, which involved building a simple bot with Node.js.
After submitting the assignment, I received feedback promptly and was invited to a technical interview the following week. That interview went smoothly—we discussed engineering practices relevant to the position, my previous experience, and questions about the company. The hiring manager’s answers were thoughtful and made me even more excited about the opportunity.
Two days later, I had a final interview with the CTO. This conversation focused mainly on cultural and behavioral fit, and it also went very smoothly. I was approved at the end of that interview and received an offer the next week.
Overall, the process was efficient, transparent, and genuinely humane. I felt respected at every stage, and the speed of communication made the whole experience very positive.
