I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at VOICE Charter School in May 2025
Interview
Started with a demo lesson with the team, then I had an interview with the Deans, then an interview with the principal. The communication via email throughout the interview process was easy, and some questions asked were easy, some were more difficult. It felt like a standard interview

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at VOICE Charter School (Queens, NY) in June 2023

Interview
I had a real easy phone interview first. Then they had me come in for an interview that said would start at about 8 am and could end anytime - really. They had no idea when it would end. 11 am? 2 pm? 4 pm? Nothing. Anyway, they had me teach for about 5 minutes and then they seemed to whittle down the candidates (many candidates come on one day). I then taught again for about 5 minutes, but I forgot that this time they said would give me suggestions while I was teaching - that's right, while I'm in front of the students. Pay attention to that if you make the second round. Also, it's sweltering hot in the lower grade building on a hot day. Oh and bring things to do - I spent literally hours just waiting for them to get the next part of the day ready.
