I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vaco
Interview
Had them reach out to me multiple times for temp to perm positions. Each recruiter would not listen to me when I said I can only do perm positions because I am not paying for insurance out of pocket. They also did not like how I mentioned my bottom most salary I can accept given cost of living and also what I currently make and they told me I was asking for too much to which I explained that a bunch of companies I am interviewing with as well as other recruiters are paying far above the bottom salary I am requesting. The hourly rate as well as the perm salaries were laughably under market value for what they have and I would make more in retail. They also never listened to me about my availability and called at the wrong times where I was busy. One recruiter even got mad at me when I said how I am interviewing at other places and I was booked for the entire week. I have dealt with a total of 3 different recruiters from here and they're all the same just looking for someone they can bully into accepting a position they have rather than actually listening to what positions you are open to.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Vaco (Irvine, CA) in June 2016
Interview
Met with controller at their office. Interview was very informative, indepth discussion of position/responsibilities. Reason position was available (Accountant had found a new position closer to home)...I started 2 days later and had 5 days of training with Accountant I was to replace. The transition of the desk responsibilities was smooth, there was a great deal of work to do, however the training was very helpful.
