The recruiter was clearly reading questions directly from a script. If I asked for clarification on a question, he just repeated the question verbatim. He also seemed irritated and tried to rush me through the phone screening. Not a great impression for a first interaction with this company.
I applied online. I interviewed at Valence Health (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2014
Interview
Easy and straightforward. They allowed questions and the basic questions were asked. Such as, what is your daily role like in your current position. What do you look for in a manager
The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Valence Health (Chicago, IL)
Interview
Recently I applied to Valence as a recent college graduate with great experience, education, and skills that I believed fit perfect for the position. The next day I was contacted to set up a phone interview. The recruiter conducting the interview was a nice lady, but that is about it. She sounded like she was just reading off a piece of paper and had zero knowledge about the position I applied for or the questions that I had. Towards the end of the interview she asked me if I had any questions. I asked her a total of 5 questions, questions that I have asked previous recruiters that they have answered with ease, and she could only answer 1/5. She just kept saying I am not really sure about that. You guys need to hire better recruiters because you are losing great candidates who could better this company because they might claim one isn't the right candidate due to a phone interview, when it was actually the recruiters fault. Hire better recruiters and you might have better candidates!
