The first interview round was a speed date of around 10 minutes. They asked a only a few questions since you didn't have much time. The second round was much longer and there you had the chance to explain more of your competences.
I applied online. I interviewed at Van Oord in Mar 2023
Interview
The selection process is quite extensive: cover letter, motivational video, speed dates, assessment, and interview. Be prepared to lose some time. I got to the speed dates, which wasn’t clear what were about and there were some technical issues. I was interviewed by two people from the department that I applied to work at who didn’t know anything about me, even if I had sent my resume, cover letter, and video. The whole interview felt awkward, they weren’t prepared and didn’t know what to ask or to expect from me so I had to improvise a lot. After 10 minutes of talking, I realized that the department’s description posted on Van Oord’s website didn’t match what someone would expect, which was misleading. If I knew upfront I wouldn’t have applied for that position. Pro. The company called me to let me know that I wasn’t selected which was very professional
