I was provided with a test task before the first interview. The task was quite large and took about 8 hours to complete, and it looked like a real work task: I needed to create a technical specification for an Excel function, that would connect to a third-party ERP system via API. After I submitted the task, I got a general reply the next working day "we've decided to move on with other candidates". No feedback, nothing, even after I asked for it. And a few days later the position on their website was put on hold. I believe it was a scam to get unpaid work from candidates.
