Multiple rounds, each looking at different competencies. Recruiting was not aligned with the people doing the interviews, so what was communicated for each round did not match what was done.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
To do a coding interview, which was not in the rounds articulated by recruiting.
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Verily in Sept 2019
Interview
The recruiter contacted me by phone, and the process took 9+ weeks. I went through 1 round phone interview by a technical people, two rounds on-site interview by a product manager, and a senior engineer leader. Then a coffee time with the hiring manager. The interviewing with the team was quite good but lost the connection with the recruiter later.
I wrote several emails to follow up on feedback, just received one response to asking me to wait. Since nine weeks passed, I don't think I'm still in the pipeline. 6-8 weeks is an average duration, no matter how the feedback(result) is, the recruiter should keep the candidate informed. The experience is poor.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Verily (South San Francisco, CA) in May 2023
Interview
HR was very involved in the entire process. Just ask any question you need about the process, and they were happy to answer. The process took a month long, from phone screening to the final interview, which was four consecutive interviews in a four hour period.
