I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Verisian in July 2023
Interview
Extremely lengthy and involved interview process. Understandably as a pre-seed startup they need to be very selective of who they hire, but the process was slow and strenuous. Although the interviewers were nice and punctual, the interviews were quite unorthodox. There was no live coding. 1.5 hour hackerrank (fixing a React website, graph theory problem), then a 30 min conversation with CEO, then 1 hour online aptitude (IQ) test, then 1 hour architecture interview, then 1 hour logical riddles. Entire process lasted over a month and got a rejection after. I believe I wasn't given a fair chance to demonstrate my abilities that pertain to the job, but it seems like an IQ test score and logical riddle solving ability is what they're looking for.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Architecture interview is more like a conversation about what you've used in the past, questions about tech stack you're familiar with, and what kind of technical problem you've encountered and how you've solved it. During the logic interview, I was asked the question about burning two fuses to measure 45 mins; arranging dominoes on a chess board where corners are removed; permutation question about the ant on a 5x5 grid; and blind men losing their colored socks and rearranging them without seeing them. All of these questions are found on Google.
