I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Vertica in Mar 2011
Interview
Fast hiring process. Interviewed with manger, 2 peers, and a dotted line, all withing a week's time. Received offer about 14 days from first contact.
Interview questions ranged from prior experience to technical acumen. There was no formal testing and none of the silly 'how many balls to fill a stadium?' questions that are associated with some start-ups. Questions were straightforward and to the point.
Good company, and the position was everything I expected.
