The first interview was with the line manager who was pleasant. After following up, I was informed by HR that my candidacy wouldn't be moving forward- no problem. A month later, I was contacted on LinkedIn about attending a final interview the following morning. After a one hour journey there, upon arrival, I was informed that it had been an error and I had been mistaken for a different candidate. Mind you, I clarified my email address in the message the day prior so the HR saw both my full name and email and still thought I was the other candidate. The HR basically had a blank face and said "Oh, sorry" and ushered me out the door. I left feeling humiliated although I had done nothing wrong. There was no follow-up message of any sort. It's shocking that a MNC of this scale can make such an error.
