      Lab Technician Interview

      17 May 2010
      Anonymous employee
      Germantown, MD
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Viasat (Germantown, MD) in May 2008

      Interview

Got an email to come in for an interview. Went into the interview. Was interviewed by 3 people (not at the same time). First person to interview was mainly a behavioral interview. He wanted to know what I know and get to know me better. The next interview (with the next person) was mainly asking about my skills. What software do I know, how do I do when working with a team, etc. The third person interviewing was more technical. He went over the engineering aspects of the company. He asked me about my skills that would apply to the company (not just any skills in general). He then gave me a tour of the projects and explained what each thing does and asked if I had seen them before. Interview was about 2.5 hours long (with all three people).
