I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Vimeo (New York, NY) in June 2017
Interview
The interview was divided into an initial phone screen, followed by a few technical phone screens, and combination behavioral/technical on site. I really enjoyed the on site because pair programming was a part of it, a great way to see someone actually coding a real life solution.
Interview questions [4]
Question 1
Typical tell me about yourself, what do you seek in a job, etc.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Vimeo (New York, NY) in Feb 2020
Interview
Was very quick and accommodating, and everyone was super nice! I actually applied for a different role but they contacted for another one I eventually was offered.
1 - Recruiter Phone Screen - Standard BUT there were a couple very simple tech questions sent from the hiring manager
2 - Tech Screen - No-coding tech screen, lots of competency questions and one code example where you determine an output.
3 - Code Pair - Worked on building some features on a simple API in JavaScript. Wasn't hard but did test knowledge of modern JS. Interviewer was very helpful and communicative.
4 - Onsite - 3 to 4 hours of multiple rounds. 1 with a PM, 1 with a VP, 2 Technical, and an office tour with HR. One of the technical was whiteboarding a data structure (NOT something silly like a Red White BST. It was a practical data structure that any experienced dev could code). The other one was more generalized, tackling knowledge, problem solving, and application design.
They really do try to accommodate your time-frame. I received an offer the day after the onsite, as I had a competing offer I needed to respond to.

Interview
HR called me just for the introduction. I am fairly accustomed to HR screening and do pretty well but this recruiter was skeptical about me for some reason. She was very disrespectful and it felt like an interrogation.
She had a very stern tone throughout the interview. I was referred by someone. She started out by asking me who referred me, what is his name, how exactly me met and know each other etc. She wanted to know if I actually know the person and if my the story checks out . She kept interrupting me to ask counter questions and it literally felt like an interrogation. 30 minutes for all this.
She even doubted me when she asked me about my background and kept asking me if "I was sure ?" that I had a masters degree.
She then said she will email me with next steps after the call. I din't receive an email and din't care.
Why do you want to Join the company ? I explained why I want to join but she framed this question 3 different ways like , what intrigued you? why do you like about our company ? and a never ending list of "whys".
